Missy Ramsey

Church Business Administrator

Missy grew up in Dunbar, WV and has been a life-long member of Dunbar United Methodist Church.  She and her husband, Steve, were even married in the church on February 10, 1990.

Her life is built on her faith in Jesus Christ.  She has two children, Ashley and Zachary.  They have blessed her with two granddaughters, Makenzie and Paislee, and 4 granddogs.  That is on top of the two dogs she has at home.  Her hobbies include quilting, crafting, camping, hiking and spending time with her family.

Gary Wooten

Gary Wooten

Chior Director and Pianist

Gary first attended Dunbar United Methodist in the Fall of 1983 when his mother was hired as the choir director when the new building opened after the fire. Gary jokingly says, “I thought my mother had lost her mind going to a United Methodist Church because we had always attended a Baptist church.”

In January of 1990, Gary started playing for the church full time. He moved out of state in 1997 and played for a couple of other churches, but was thrilled to come back home in September 2001.
Gary has been involved in a lot of celebrations over the past 31 years and says he can’t picture himself ever not being a part of Dunbar UMC.  Gary says, “I think Mom made the right decision back in 1983. Thank you DUMC for making the entire Wooten clan feel at home.”
